I am so thrilled to announce that my friend and I have recently signed on to a studio in August! It has been something that has been in the works in the background, and I am so excited that it has been finalized!

Ever since I graduated from college, I have been struggling to maintain a good workflow. I would go to coffee shops to work on basic design and maintenance, but since I use a decently hefty drawing tablet, I couldn't haul that with me. So part of my bedroom became my studio, and that had some major drawbacks. I would get distracted by the smallest things, try to tidy my room to make it feel like a better work environment, then thirty minutes later, I'd be digging through drawers, organizing clothes that didn't need to be. I'd do work for an hour, say I'd make progress, then lie on my bed for who knows how long. The distractions were greater than I would have liked, and oftentimes I would feel drained rather than productive. I knew I needed an additional space to work, and that was when my friend Stephiane Stella approached me, wanting to know if I'd be interested in sharing a studio space.

After doing a few tours, we landed in a small studio that is a part of a gallery. Signed on, and it's felt like a dream since. Already, I've gotten in a better mindset while making art, since I have to physically leave the comforts of home and go to a space designated for work. The other artists in the studios are also wonderful, and the networking is fantastic, I feel more emersed in the local artworld than I have in the last few months! On top of that, the gallery hosts multiple events where I can sell my work, giving me more exposure to clients and other artists! I'm so excited to start this new step in my art career!
